I’m all about the easy, no bake desserts when it’s over 100 degrees outside. Anyone else on an oven boycott??
These Rice Krispie Treats not only fit the bill, but the brown sugar takes them to a whole new level of yumminess! A definite crowd pleaser.
Brown Sugar Rice Krispie Treats
1 stick butter
1 C brown sugar
16 oz mini marshmallows
Grease a 9 X 13 inch pan. *(Use a 9 X 13 inch pan for a thicker Rice Krispie, and a large sheet pan (roughly 12 X 17) for a thinner Rice Krispie. ( I typically spread mine into this large sheet pan; for a crowd.)
Melt butter & brown sugar in a large sauce pan: add marshmallows, stir until completely melted. Pour marshmallow mix over Rice Krispies in a large bowl, mix until coated. Spread/press into a greased 9 X 13 pan. (See pan size note above.)
Sprinkle with fluer de sel and sprinkles whilst still warm.
Cut when cool.
For fun, try spreading into a cookie sheet and cut with cookie cutters and/or drizzle with chocolate.
