A few weeks ago I visited Dibble Farms with my sister. We made fresh wreaths for the second year in a row, drank hot cocoa, and picked up a years supply of popcorn!
It’s the holiday season….
Nothing screams the holiday season more than the warm sweet smells of spices, oranges, cranberries, AND fresh greens all simmering on the stovetop together.
It’s the holiday season! What better time to give the seasoned or amateur gardener in your life some amazing gardening tools!
In Utah, we celebrate a State Holiday on July 24th commemorating the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.
Last May, we were able to go to Switzerland and visit the home/farm/family/village were my ancestors migrated from. It left a huge impression on us all, but especially my daughter.
Warm Summer nights are my absolute favorite!
We enjoy chatting around a late dinner, roasting marshmallows over the fire, eating homemade ice cream, listening to crickets, playing night games, sleeping out, or watching an outdoor movie… but I detest the mosquitoes that seem to love me!
Finding little spring treasures for my daughters Easter Basket along with her new Easter dress (plus a new spring outfit & or jammies) just might be my favorite!
She’s starting to get a bit older, and I feel like its gotten a little trickier to find those small easter treasures… But do you think I could just add things like bubbles, sidewalk chalk and coloring books forever?
Let’s talk MULCH!
After posting my first #carlythegardenspotspringgardentips I had lots of questions on mulch!
I live for the summer! No schedules, swimming all day, biking, playing, summer nights & staying out late….but because of all that fun, dinner can be tricky? Anyone else struggle with finding time to make dinner??
Nothing makes me more happy than to pick fresh produce from my garden + not turn on my oven in the heat of the summer.
This Black Bean Tomato Quinoa is a great quick and easy summer dish that doesn’t require the oven! A winner all around.
