Besides the Nutella, the secrets to this recipe are the buttermilk, making them extra delicious and the SUPER COOKIE CHIPS! DO NOT skip these! They add the perfect chocolate chunk to the muffins that make them to die for!

The Best {Gluten Free} Double Chocolate Nutella Muffins

For this recipe I use Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour. It is my go to gluten free flour! It’s light and doesn’t dry out as quickly as other brands I have used.

When making gluten free muffins, the only brand of muffin liners I have found that don’t stick to gluten free batter are these! Not sure why gluten free batters like to stick? These will be your best buddy in your gluten free kitchen. I ALWAYS have them on hand.

The Best {Gluten Free} Double Chocolate Nutella Muffins

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup avocado oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cups Gluten Free Flour Blend*
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup super cookie chips
  • 1/2 cup nutella spread

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 F and line muffins tins with liners. I get about 18 muffins.
  • In the bowl of a large stand mixer, add the sugar and eggs, and beat until light & fluffy, about three minutes.
  • With the beater running, slowly pour in the avocado oil, and beat to combine.
  • Add the salt & vanilla, mix just to combine.
  • Add the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and buttermilk mix to combine. Do not over stir.
  • Gently fold/stir in chocolate chips.
  • Fill muffins tins 3/4 full.
  • Melt Nutella in the microwave for about 25 seconds and put a spoonful on each muffin. Swirl in a circle on the top.
  • Bake for 18 minutes, or until the tops spring back when pressed. Remove from tin and cool
  • Enjoy!
