Every Christmas morning (and just about every day leading up to Christmas), my family and I have a tradition. We make our all-time favorite, mouthwatering Healthy Orange Julius recipe, using the fresh oranges that Santa leaves in our stockings. This amazing drink is not only gluten-free but also dairy-free, making it a perfect choice for everyone to enjoy! The tangy sweetness of the orange combined with the creamy texture creates a delightful treat that never fails to put a smile on our faces. It’s comforting to know that we can savor this delicious drink without any worries about dietary restrictions. So, indulge in this festive beverage and let the vibrant flavors of the citrus fruit make your Christmas season even brighter! Cheers!
This is a super quick and straightforward recipe that only needs a few ingredients and a blender. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the oranges. When citrus is in season, we make sure to grab a whole box of them and store them in our cold storage room in the basement. These oranges come in handy for making fresh squeezed orange juice or our all-time favorite, the Orange Julius!
For the recipe you will need;
Oranges, vanilla extract, dates, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, some ice & a high powder blender.
You can peel your oranges, but I prefer to simply slice the peels off.
Fresh and Healthy Orange Julius {Gluten Free}
Ingredients
- 2 Oranges, peels removed
- 2 dates, pitted
- 8 ounces Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- a splash of vanilla
- couple handfuls of ice
Instructions
- Poor 8 ounces of almond milk into a high-powered blender.
- Slice peels off oranges, add to blender along with all other ingredients.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add more ice if you prefer your smoothie thicker sometimes I'll add some extra fresh squeezed orange juice. If it needs to have more orange flavor.
- Pour into four large glasses and enjoy.
- Lately, we've been adding two scoops of vanilla protein powder, and one scoop of greens powder to make the smoothie extra nutritious
Notes
*A high powdered blender like this one here is a must for blending up the dates.
